PASSENGERS who purchase from TravelMaster’s range of multi-operator and multi-modal tickets will see a change to the price they pay for their tickets from Tuesday 2 January 2018.
These new fares are being introduced following an extensive price review and are intended to help continue to offer a high-quality public transport service for passengers in South Yorkshire.
This represents the first change in price for some products since May 2015 and many tickets popular with passengers, such as the CityWide, are still priced less than they were in November 2015.
With these changes the range of TravelMaster products remain some of the best value multi-operator and multi-modal tickets in the country; with passengers paying over 30% more for equivalent tickets in Leeds and up to 50% more for equivalent tickets in Manchester.
Matt Smallwood, General Manager of TravelMaster, said; “Increasing the cost to customers of our products is always a difficult decision. These changes have been introduced to ensure that our range remains sustainable for us and local operators and that we can continue to offer South Yorkshire’s transport users some of the best value multi-operator tickets in the country”.
The price changes coming into effect on 2 January are:
