Sheffield ‘Plus One’ Deal

Sheffield City Council and Sheffield Bus Partnership have announced Christmas travel deals to make getting into Sheffield city centre cheaper.

The festive bus offer ‘Plus One’ means anyone with a day, week or 28 Day ticket, including some TravelMaster tickets, can bring along another person for free on journeys in Sheffield on all First, Stagecoach and TM Travel buses in Sheffield on the dates and at the times specified here.

The ‘Plus One’ deal covers all of our products that are valid in Sheffield (The CityBus, CityWide, SYConnect & SYConnect+) with some restrictions:

  • In the case of CityWide & SYConnect products customers will not be able to travel with an additional passenger on Tram services in Sheffield.
  • In the case of the SYConnect+ products customers will not be able to travel with an additional passenger on Tram or Train services in Sheffield.
  • For SYConnect & SYConnect+ products the additional passenger cannot travel with the ticket holder outside of the Sheffield zone and a valid product would need to be purchased for any journey beyond the relevant boundary point.

‘Plus One’ Validity Dates & Times

The ‘Plus One‘ deal applies for journeys into the city centre after 4.30pm and out of the city centre after 6.30pm on Thursdays and all day on Sundays in December in the run up to Christmas.

The Plus One offer applies to all First, Stagecoach and TM Travel buses in Sheffield only at the hours specified above on the following dates:

  • Sunday 3 December
  • Thursday 7 December
  • Sunday 10 December
  • Thursday 14 December
  • Sunday 17 December
  • Thursday 21 December
  • Sunday 24 December

Festive Validity

TravelMaster products cannot be refunded or extended for days when there are few or no public transport services.

Customers are advised to keep up to date with planned service changes prior to purchasing a product and to check for and any reduction in services provided over the Festive period by visiting Travel South Yorkshire regularly.
