Where to Buy Wayfarer Bus Tickets

Online & App

All Wayfarer ticket are available to buy through the TravelMaster App and this website to sync to a smartcard. Tickets must be loaded to a smartcard through an NFC smartphone or loaded on-board First & Stagecoach services after 48 hours.

On Board Buses

You can buy 1 Day Derbyshire Wayfarer tickets on the day of travel from the drivers of these local buses:

  • High Peak

  • First South Yorkshire (from 16 June 2024)

  • Hulleys

  • Kinch

  • Littles

  • Notts & Derby

  • Stagecoach Mansfield

  • TM Travel

  • Trentbarton

The tickets are valid for travel on Skylink and My15 services operated by Trentbarton and Kinch in Derbyshire as far as Shardlow on skylink Derby, and Sawley square on skylink Nottingham and My15, but not to East Midlands Airport.

Where to Buy Wayfarer Smartcards

Wayfarer Bus tickets can be loaded to standard smartcards and Stagecoach smartcards.  Standard TravelMaster smartcards can be ordered from the TravelMaster retail website.

To celebrate this new partnership, we’ve also designed a new limited edition, Derbyshire Wayfarer smartcard. The smartcard works the same as a standard TravelMaster card but features a new design with a locally sourced photograph taken of Hope Valley, Peak District.

 

Derbyshire County Council Libraries

You can buy a limited edition Derbyshire smartcard from these local Derbyshire libraries. Tickets CANNOT be purchased from these locations at this time.

Where you can Use Wayfarer Bus Tickets

Wayfarer Bus tickets can also be used for journeys to or from Derbyshire on the below listed services operating between Derbyshire and Sheffield (city centre), Macclesfield (town centre), Leek (town centre), Burton-on-Trent (town centre) or Uttoxeter (town centre).

Wayfarer bus tickets can't be used on local buses within Sheffield, Macclesfield, Leek, Burton-on-Trent or Uttoxeter, although travel between these town centres and Derbyshire is allowed. Tickets cannot be used to travel on TrentBarton buses on any day between midnight and 4am.
