Matt joined TravelMaster straight from university in September 2013 and since then has been involved in the development and delivery of one of the UK’s most innovative smart multi-operator ticketing schemes outside of London.
In mid-2016 he was made our Head of Operations; and this role saw him overseeing customer service operations, retail operations and the organisation’s product catalogue.
In January 2017 he was made Interim General Manager, a role that was made substantive in December 2017, and in July 2019 Matt was appointed Director & General Manager. During this time he’s overseen significant changes to the product range, the introduction of a new youth discount structure, extensive governance changes and delivery of an innovative eCommerce Programme.
As Director & General Manager Matt leads TravelMaster and is accountable to the company’s Board of Directors (made up of the region’s public transport operators) for the effective management, development and delivery of the Company, and the Company’s ticketing products, as a whole.
Matt has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of York and is a Member of the Institute of Directors and the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport.
